Again, Texas is much different.  Texas has an L0005 instead of a Form 4, and an X0005 instead of a Form 4B.

New York doesn't require a 4B from all employers either.  Where did you get that?

I just started calling it 4B because everyone here was referring to work experience form as 4B.  I did not pay attention to the form names - just paid attention to what needed to be filled in.

@ "New York doesn't require a 4B from all employers either.  Where did you get that?"

Your this line below - especially the bold part:)

"Keep in mind that you must account for all time from college graduation to the time you submit the form."

No.  That is on the Form 4.  The applicant must account for all time from college graduation to the time he or she submits the form.  There are two columns - "time claimed" and "time not claimed."  Your 2 years (or 1 year now) of experience you list under "time claimed."  Everything else, including unemployed, you list under "time not claimed".  Anything in the "time not claimed" column you don't need a Form 4B from that employer.  I had to list 10 days in "time not claimed" because I graduated on 12/31 and started working on 1/11.

You seem very interested in New York requirements - planning a move?

We may move to NYC.  My daughter wants to attend NYU.  Let us see how it all plays out.  I am getting tired of Houston and Energy industry by now.

There is everything you need to know about getting your license transferred to New York.  NYU is a great school.  Good luck to her.
