Hi Deepa,

I have sent my transcripts to FACS for Evaluation and waiting for their results.
In the meantime, I am studying for FAR (Becker). Since, I don't have much of Accounting background, FAR(Becker) Video lectures have helped me understand the concepts well.

Also, I live in Jersey City, NJ and very much interested in group study.

I loved Yaeger coz 1) Their teaching was very good

2) The course was cost-effective.

Since I aint working till now, I didnt want to spend big mullahs for a review course. Infact if you go by the reviews, thy are v.good for FAR & BEC, n good for REG. AUdit i wudnt recommend dem.

I had ROGER for Audit...i can say hes the best..if only i knew how best he cud be, i might hv gone for ROGER for all subjects, though Yaeger ws good no denying the fact..But I m highly impressed with Roger n Yaeger.

I would say if you are smart n conscious spender n want both quality n cost effectiveness, go for Yaeger or Roger. not Becker.

Hi Sonal, per your message - I gather you have very
little background in Accounting. Did you get your
bachelors/masters from India? If yes, when and which
subject did you get your degree in? With little
accounting background if Becker is helpful...that's great
news. Please respond with your feedback

Hi,

I have done my Bachelor in Management Studies from India which has very little Accounting subjects. Also, for Masters in Commerce my core subjects were Banking and Finance and no accounting subjects.

I have done CS from ICSI which covers accounting but not as much in depth which is required for FAR. I am weak with Journal entries but understand concepts well.

As mentioned earlier, just Becker notes were not enough. Video lectures explain concepts well and then it all depends on your hard work.

i just received my transcripts for New Hampshire Board and got a cumulative score of 223 semester hours. Accounting 26 hours compared to 10 from Delaware. FACS considered my CS scores for evaluation in the case of NH.
