Hi Shekhar,
In my opinion, it all depends upon your command over the subject. Accounting in US is little different than in India. But you can say overall concepts are same.

You can try to find out some pdf version of the course material and start going through it until you get an approval from FACS. Till then you'll know if you wanna opt for self study or online course and will also give u an idea how soon you'll b all set to give exams.

I have pdf version of 2009 material if you need it. 2011 material has some changes but I am sure 70-80% you can get an idea of the material and then decide thereafter.

All the Best. Hope my advice helps you.

Hi All,

Here's my two cents worth of advice - Becker CPA review is really good. It preps you in a very systematic manner for the exams - very focused and very precise.

I believe the text and the CD are both equally important. Although the price is much higher than the other review material providers, when you get through the exams (the effort required by the candidate goes without saying) - it will all be worth the money you paid.

FreshCPA,

How much did you/"or do we need to" concentrate on Ancillary material for FAR?
