Oh, I didn't know that. My bad.

That means I did fairly well on the 1st one!
Thanks, Celyn.

Hi,

I just took the exam today. I would say my 3 testlets are equal in terms of difficulty. My first question in testlet one was very hard. Luckily, the rest of the questions in the 3 testllets were not so. There were some curveballs, but overall, I would say the exam is not too difficult (those questions from CMA are definitely a lot harder).

I would say the questions are definitely not from outerspace. I felt very comfortable with the questions. As long as you used a good exam review service and practised many times, this exam is doable/not too difficult. I prayed for lotsa calculations. I would say 60% are calculations. This strangely seem to contrast with the above 2 posts. Of course, I also had theory questions, and these helped me to speech up.

I have 45 mins left for written, and I needed every minute of it.

I guess this is too unpredictable.

I've walked out of exams feeling great and failed and vice versa.  Pass/Fail is very dependent on how well or poorly others perform.

I definitely walked out of the exam with about 6 - 8 questions where I guessed.  I still felt the questions were rather simple compared to what I had to do for Becker's homework.

How do you determine whether a question is difficult or not?  For FAR, it was very dependent on the number of steps in the calculation ... BEC, I have no idea what's consider difficult.

In terms of conceptual questions, some of the questions I got in testlet 2
covered something I have never even heard of, while I determine the
difficulty of calculation questions based on how hard they made me work
on them, how often they made me scratch my head. I think I spent
almost an hour on the testlet 2.

As you said, it's all subjective.

Hi stressdout,

You wrote, "How do you determine whether a question is difficult or not?" It's funny I almost wanted to write this sentence just now. I totally agree with you. What is easy? What is difficult? I may have a question that is difficult for others, but because I practised that type of question so many times, it became easier and easier, and easy for me at last.

To me, difficult questions are the ones that I have never seen in my review course, has too much twists, never practised before, and did not really understand what the question is about.

Sometimes you think you made many mistakes, but those mistakes are mostly the pre-test questions, so you actually performed better than you think.

Honestly, I passed FAR & REG, and recently took BEC & AUD. I felt all my 3 testlets are of same difficulty/standards. I did not really feel it became easier or harder, although for AUD I am quite concerned, because I got quite a lot of straightforward questions (or easy questions?).
