Crystalrox -  I see that you use Becker; can you tell me what your scores were like on your homework and practice exams and did you feel adequately prepared?? I am scoring around 85-90% on the homework on the first try and i dont want this to give me a false sense of confidence going into the exam. thanks!

which section are u on?

overall, i was able to score relatively high on BEC homeworks, but I don't think that was relative to what the exam was.

I am also done with section 5, and then I am going to review until my test on 7/1. I also plan on using Wiley questions because there were some critics of Becker here on the forum that think Becker wasnt that good for BEC.

using beckers means you are playing with luck.

if you are scoring high with beckers, you'll pass the exam.  a lot of the questions were whether you know it or not.  it was so random that you can't really predict whether what beckers is telling you to focus is accurate or not

regardless - BEST OF LUCK!

I think the problem with BEC for many people who fail again and again were greatly due to the calculation. practice chapter 3 and 5 more. then for the conceptual, I think the best way is know the concept, then "guess" based on what you know haha. it's a game of luck , seriously!

I had a question for IT like this: "What type of database contain Music, drawing, and photo files."  Have to say that this question is way toooooooo random, when u flip the Becker book, there is a small section like almost at the end of ancillary material which cover this (but I guess this one right though! based on what I learned.)

The point is, there are too much material that AICPA could test u on, you don't need to learn every detail but just get a comparative advantage compared to other candidate.

I'll agree with the other people in the exam. I think
you should master the calculation based stuff (Ch. 3/5)
and then review the theory stuff. I was not as prepared
as I should have been. I went through the material
slowly and went for quality instead of quantity. I was
probably only scoring 70%, but I really focused on the
calcs. The last two - three days, I just flipped through
the book and read the ancillary material.
