seems you just need to work on the math and head back to earn a 700. You can get the study prep from Kapla (about $40 at the most maybe $50)- I used that for a weekend (not much studying like yourself) and got over 600 on my first attempt.

good luck

I thought the GMAT was pretty easy. I had a 750 overall and a 6 on the writing and I didn't really do any studying for it.

The free program available for download helped me a bit. I spent a couple hours familiarizing myself with the test format. Make sure that you spend plenty of time on the early questions. When you get questions right, the test will start increasing the difficulty of later questions. However, if you miss an easy question early, you'll be stuck with a mid-range score. Nailing a few of those super-difficult questions is the way to get a great score.

Also, keep in mind that this test doesn't really focus on business concepts. It's more similar to the SATs.

Where did you find the free program, could you please send the link? thanks.

I took the GMAT in Fall 2006 and got a 760. I basically took two days off from work and studied for it.

If I can give one piece of advice, once you get a good understanding of the basic math and verbal concepts,  "You should focus on solving problems the GMAT way, not the RIGHT way" ..

First thing that one should do is understand what the GMAT question is trying to test.. once I practiced that, I realized the answers to a lot of questions almost revealed themselves.

Good luck.
