Does KPMG know that is when you are scheduled to graduate? They usually only offer internships to people who are one year away from graduating and full time to people who are in their last year of school.

I assume they do know because it is on my resume and my
application. I will be one year away from graduating after
my internship since my internship is in Winter 2012 and I
graduate in Spring 2013 (May 2013). Is this uncommon?

Pomegranate, you are fine.  I think you are getting your seasons and dates confused.  If you are interning this coming winter (January) and it is your junior year, this will be the winter of 2012.  You will finish your internship and junior year, and then start your senior year the fall of 2012.  You will graduate in spring of 2013 and start full-time in the fall of 2013.  The statement you have made that I have in bold above does not make sense - you cannot still be in school in Fall 2013 if you graduate in Spring 2013.

As a rule of thumb, the Big 4 pre-screen for things like graduation date and whatnot to ensure that the internship timing is correct.  This is because they anticipate offering interns a full-time offer, and they don't want to have to extend the offer 3 years out or more (I know they will defer a year if you have a good reason to defer, resulting in your start date being 2 years out).  Since you have the internship already, your graduation date coincides with the timing of your full-time offer.  They are not going to say, "Hey great job with the internship, wait you are graduating on xx/xx/xx?  Oh well, see you later!"  Don't worry about it and just focus on school and the internship, when it comes.

Nice scores @shades395

I had a great internship at KPMG and got a full time offer for the fall after I graduate. You cannot work as an auditor without your degree as far as I understand. I am sure there is an error in your understanding...

Thanks for the great reply, Shades. You are completely
right about the dates; I mixed up my seasons. It makes a
lot more sense now.
