That woman is a low, insignificant person probably incapable of great work or great character.

To that end though, you were the fool for allowing her to lead in that direction. Know your boundaries, work is only at work.

BTW, your grasp of the English language is fine. Don't let her opinion fester in your mind, she will never be anything worthwhile.

Aesop,

Thanks for the tips.Next time I will be more careful and watch out for these signs.During my interview, she did mention that when she was too busy, she would talk to the previous intern in a way that could be construed as a little rude and that I should just ignore it when she does that to me.In fact she did make a rather rude remark to me on one occassion but she ddid apologise for it the very next day.So I didnt think much of it.

I think your guess about her fearing that I might replace her is right. She used to frequently talk about my cpa exams etc and also used to belittle the person she had replaced (who was a cpa)about how shoddy her work was.

Just like you said,I have to learn from this experience and move on.Thanks again.

BeanCollecter,

You are right. It was foolishness on my part to encourage her to talk about non-work related stuff etc.I didnt know any better then.Lesson learnt. From now on I am steering clear of such stuff.

Thanks a lot.

Really the only thing you can do is get into her face a little and provoke her to hit you. Then you can sue her and claim a hate crime.

I did this yesterday and everything panned out perfectly.
