anyone know best answers for these qquestions.. thanks!!
1.SO why do you want to work at PWC over the other big 4? always a tough one!!! i would just say because i have come to admire the success of pwc like many of the business community... hmmm ok maybe not strong enough.. you could say your research of the firm has shown that pwc is a cut above the firms...

2.Why Audit?
I enjoy the investigative aspect of auditing which involves double checking and confirming the work of the FS. I love to problem solve and apply myself in an analytical aspect.

3.What makes you more desirable then any other candidate for the position?
Because i infact enjoy working the grueling hours and like some candidates I stay calm under pressure and stress.

4.What are your weaknesses?
Not being patient enough at times and pushing the ppl around to work harder and do better. I say this because i have come to learn recently that we are all different and not every individual will have the drive to succeed as much as i would like of them...

lol ok it might need refining a bit but you ge tthe drift....

Those are horribly douchebag answers. 1) If an interviewee told me he/she enjoys double checking and confirming work, I'd say he/she full of ****. No one enjoys double checking the shipping date on a BOL to ensure proper cut off of AP. There's a reason why vouching work is delegated down to the lowest staff member on every team. 2) No one likes working grueling hours. At the very least, say that you understand the hours are outside your typical 40hr week job, but you're more focused on the learning that you'll receive which is more important to you. And don't ever talk down on other candidates by implying some of them cannot handle the stress. 3) Again talking down on other candidates or those around you by saying they don't have the same desire for success will guarantee to rub the interviewer the wrong way.

Guarantee the OP won't get an offer if he/she answers those questions like that, basically implying you're superior to the rest of the candidates.

OP like he said my answers are all douchebag so dont consider them :-).

now db729 how about you go ahead and give it a try at answering those questions? and while you are at it why dont you tell us whats your resume? What makes you the decider of what are horrible answers?

I would and have answer such questions in the same manner maybe not exactly as written but In an interview i am going in there with confidence and letting the interviewer know I just a little superior....

Op you can do it without being disrespect and rude. Db729 where exactly are you located because i know in NYC you have to really explain what makes you a cut a above the rest...

and like i said OP it should be done with class & respect

Go to the website, look at the values, what's important to PwC, and say how you admire those values, and say what impressed you about the firm.  Show you've done your research on the firm.

Audit is the best experience / training an accountant can get.  It gives you insight into how firms work and operate, what makes them great companies, you'll get to work with the largest public companies, interact with management, and work with and become an expert in GAAP.

What are you strengths? You're great at teamwork, you work hard, you like constantly learning and building your skills.

You don't have an accounting background or work experience in audit, but you're a fast learner.

1. Read goingconcern, it has a ton of information on all 4 of the firms. You could talk about your interests in a few of the industry groups (it's on the website). You could talk about the 3 year promotion model and how it better prepares you to be an effective senior. You could look into recent community service involvement and talk about how you admire PwC's dedication to philanthropy. You could say the firm places heavy emphasis on coaching, and as someone young in your career, good mentors are really important to your personal and professional development. Quite honestly, all these apply to every Big 4 (except the promotion timeline, all other Big 4 has 2 year promotions).  Interviewers just want to see that you've at least done some research and can formulate a respectable response.

2. You enjoy working in teams. You like that it's a client facing role and you'll develop superior communication skills. Audit allows you to learn the universal language of accounting and the foundation of any business. You'll be able to see how different companies operations affect their financials and vice versa. You enjoy the constant change in different teams and clients.

3-4) Quite honestly this is something you should really think about yourself. Being good at interviews means taking the time to self reflect on these type of questions. Even if it's not for interview purposes, you should know these qualities about yourself. These definitely are questions that I can't help you answer.

When it comes to behavioral questions, there's never really a "best" answer. But I absolutely have to reiterate the fact that you should never put down another candidate blatantly by claiming you're better. The truth is, no matter what your credentials are, you're really not that much better than the next candidate that walks through the door for an interview in audit. It doesn't matter if you have a 4.0 GPA from a top 10 MAcc and was the president of the accounting society. If you get hired, you will be just as dispensable as the next candidate that had a 3.3 GPA from a non target undergrad and barely got an offer. Unless you're a rainmaker bringing in large streams of revenue for the firm, you're not THAT valuable. It's perfectly fine to take pride in your work and proud of what you've accomplished, and you should. But having a false sense of self worth is dangerous in the corporate world, especially in organizations as big as the Big 4.
