Thanks Mark. Reg is my first exam.  I've been putting it off for months.  There are only two outcomes - you either pass or don't
pass.  Unless you are extremely bright (or have a photographic memory) there's a proven method to pass.  Do MCs and Sims.

Thanks for the stick in my eye.  I've been putting this off for months and wallowing in this mire.  Time to get my game on.

Step #1 - 'read the book'/listen to lecture
Step #2 - Test yourself on the section (of the book) by doing Qs.
Step #3 - Review book (briefly) on Qs you missed
Step #4 - Repeat Step #2 to the 'n'TH power until you vomit.

For you sport fans out there Coaches call this Practice like you Play

The EXAM is NOT a reading assignment. The EXAM is about answering the freaking Q's

'Educators call this:

Now get you head in the game and practice your Qs like your gonna win.

Hahaha!! You are a trip Mark7, lol. But indeed, you are
right. I used the same strategy for BEC and AUD (doing the
Qs at least 3 times over) and passed. Looking the apply
the same method for REG. I don't believe in watching the
lectures more than once. Complete waste of time (unless
you need reinforcement on something that you really did not
understand).

Hoping for pass on REG!!! Thanks for your advice, Mark7.

The most challenging part is to remain focused.  The Review Courses are pretty good at providing material, but not so great at telling you what's priority.  Try to learn just one or two new things everytime you sit down. Give yourself 6-8 weeks of consistent drills.  Good Luck!

You drink a lot of coffee, amiright?

'Effing A' I do - but only to supplement my amphetamine addiction, CAUSED BY THE THOSE SOBs AT AICPA

But, I'm in rehab now and feeling better about myself.

(THAT WAS A JOKE SPORTS FANS)

Yup, coffee helps you focus, BUT ONLY ONE STRONG ONE IN THE MORNING. And don't drink the 64 oz. triple carmel latte STARBUCKS crap - all your gonna do to yourself is have a clinical
Anxiety Attack followed by a sugar crash. You got enough Anxiety already - you don't need more. They add extra Caffeine to it.

In the afternoon, I might have a cup - BUT A NICE STRONG CUP OF QUALITY TEA I think is better. (Better buzz - just an opinion)

Since we are on the topic of self medication, A SMALL amount of sugar, or carbs in the afternoon helps - it perks you up a bit. I have some Coffee Nips (candy) I picked up at Trader Joes that
does the trick. I had a study buddy that invariably crashed (I'm talking sound asleep) about 3:00 PM every afternoon - I popped one of those in her month, and she would be back on track
(doing her Qs) in no time.

BUT, EIGHT HOURS OF SLEEP is best EVERY NIGHT. And get a work out in everyday - it clears the head, and helps you sleep.

You gotta have a clear head for the inane stuff.

NOW GET BACK TO WORK AND DO YOUR EFFING Q's

I feel you on the caffeine and the amphi salts, never heard of coffee nips though.

Hi Mark7

You gave me a good laugh...lol..

I have scheduled my Aud exam for October 1st and planning to take Reg. at the end of November.....Do you think 2 months will be enough for Reg.

on the second thought I also think if i can postpone Audit to mid of october and start studying for reg from now...Sounds crazy but then i can buy some extra time for Audit (4hours for audit and 2 hours for reg)

Any suggestions??????? I really enjoyed reading your posts....they are hillarious and lot informative.... keep up the good work

thank you and good luck
