One of the reasons I did not pass AUD the first time, I believe, is because I moved too quickly through the MC questions.  I thought I knew the answer after reading half the problem and moved on.  The second time I took AUD I carefully read each problem, and tried to make sure I had the right answer by eliminating at least two wrong answers.  AUD is a tricky exam, and you have to be very careful with what is being asked.

Good Luck!

ps:  The State of Indiana just approved my CPA license application!

Hi all,

I am the marketing manager for Gleim and I also passed AUD last year.  If you are using Gleim, you will find the Test Prep software to be very helpful.  For me, the last 3 days before the exam I would sit and answer questions in Test Prep until I reached a 75 in every category.

The books are meant for review and do assume on some level you have at least seen some of the information before.  However, when you use the books in conjunction with the Test Prep software and the online program, you will find you will both see and learn all the important information.  I was able to pass AUD on the first try.  I would say only about 20% of my studying was in the book and the rest in the Test Prep and online format.  If you have any questions about how I studied beyond what I wrote or Gleim in general, please feel free to email me at gleimblog@gleim.com.

Good luck with your studies everyone!

Thanks mcannon1104 for your advice.

Which study material did you use and what was your study plan.

I used Yaeger, but supplemented with the Wiley OnLine test material.  My study plan was haphazard the first time I took AUD.  I was travelling on business a great deal.  The second time, I paid more attention to the lectures, took better notes, and did more multiple choice questions.  I'd do the Wiley online material until I started scoring in the 90's.  I really felt my only weak area was the detailed Sampling material, but I think I just had 2 MC questions on that, and I know I had reasonable guesses.

Good Luck!

Thanks. Even I am planning to buy Wiley online so that I can use as a supplement with Becker and practice more MC. How many MC Wiley online has to practice.
