how many hours did you work per week?
what do they exactly look for in a candidate during recruiting?
what is max age for entry level positions?

Congrats on finishing your first season.  I will be interning this summer big 4 in NYC is audit as well, then hopefully starting full time the following year.  How is the quality of life in NY your first year?  I am kind of concerned about the salary vs. cost of living aspect.  Also I've heard busy season is particularly rough in NY, what did you think?

logitech,

on average, i charged high 60s per week but i took out an hour for lunch everyday.  however, not once did i even get close to an hour for lunch.  more like 15-20 minutes cause you have to work while you eat so its really more like low 70s.  5 consecutive saturdays.  this was over the course of 2.5 months.

honestly, im not completely sure what they look for in a candidate.  ive seen all types of people at work (quiet, loud, extravert/intravert)
my best guess is pretty much what everybody else says (just be confident and personable when you meet with recruiters)  sorry im not very helpful on this question.

as for the max age, i don't know for sure, but it seems like everybody that started in my class is 22-24.  I have never met a staff that was over 25.

hope that helps

have fun interning.  i did not intern myself but i heard you get treated like royalty.  be warned though, full time is completely the opposite.

quality of life in NY is okay.  I've lived here my whole life so I can't really speak for someone who isn't from here.  i can tell you that the salary vs. cost of living aspect is a real issue though.  i still live at home rent-free and barely have any savings.  if you decide to live in manhattan, expect to spend more than half your paycheck on rent.

as far as going out, during busy season, you won't have time for that.  You will not see your friends for months.  to give you an idea of a typical week. mon-friday (9am - 10-11:30pm), sat (10-5/6), sunday (recovery/laundry day).  this goes on for months.

sorry if im being discouraging, but im trying to tell it as it is
