Sorry for my delayed response....as an AVP i have been extremely busy. I make close to 80K per year however it is not because of my CPA license but because I am good at what I do (Compliance work). When I mentioned that " as much as i hate to admit it" is because i would've accomplished my AVP without spending endless hours studying for the useless CPA license.

I make in the mid-$40s in a corporate staff accountant
role... I wish I made $80k.
