Hello everyone:

Just wondering, does anyone know/remember how long
it takes for your application to be approved once it is
submitted? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Also I have heard that you have to pass all four parts
within a certain time frame after your application is
approved. Can anyone confirm how long you have to pass all
4 parts before you have to apply again?

                              Thanks,
                                   Christopher Haydon

Chris,

If it's you first section you're applying for it might take up to 6 weeks, at least when i applied for my 1st section it took that long. The next 3 sections will be approved in a few days after applying because they already have you in their system now.

The time frame does NOT start from when you application was approved but after you pass the first section. You have a rolling 18 month to pass all 4 parts after you pass the first section. If not passed within the 18 months, then you will start loosing credit for the sections you passed before the 18 months.

Good Luck..... (you're in for one hell of a ride studying... i remember those days clearly....)

Thanks for the response. Cant you apply for all 4 sections
at once? Sorry I am a little confused because it says not
to apply for sections that you dont plan on taking in the
next six months. Does this mean that you have 6 months to
take whichever exams you have applied for? Sorry about all
the questions, just dont want to waste any money. Thanks
for any and all answers!

Chris, when you get your Notice to Schedule, you will have 6 months to apply
to as many sections as you choose. However, you cannot take the same
section twice in one window. Also, you cannot schedule exams during the
third month of each window (for example, you can schedule exams in
January and February but not in March). Once the 6 months passes, you will
have to apply for another Notice to Schedule. And like what tho9504 said,
you have 18 months to pass all 4 sections for them to count.

I know this seems like a ton of information, but hopefully you'll get the hang
of it.

for each section you get a seperate Notice to Schedule. Each notice to schedule have a special code which you would have to enter to schedule each section. For ex. if you apply for FAR & AUD then you get a Notice to schedule for both. Each one will have a different code for each section. When you go to prometic website to schedule you exam, you would have to enter that code from the notice to schedule. You WILL have to schedule the exam with in 6 months or you would have to reapply to schedule the exam again.

If you're taking all 4 parts then you will get a Notice to Schedule (NTS) for all four section. You have 6 months to schedule all 4 exams. So you would have to take them all within that period.

Me personally, i took one section at a time. Once i passed the 1st section, i had 18 month to pass all the other sections.
