Hi Krish29

I am a final level student of CGA. Could you please reply my following two questions.

(1) Do you think its beneficial to do CGA after having CPA in Canada. Even if person remains in Canada and does not move to USA. How far CPA alone could be acceptable in Canada.

(2) If you have applied for exemptions from CGA, did you get it for FA4 (a final level course).

Regards

hey Caterace

Need a few clarification on CISA with regards to work experience
Work ex required is 5 years
they say if you have  bachelors then you can reduce 2 years of work experience .
Now do the following course give you any compensation.

1.CPA (am done with it)
2.CA (Chartered Accountant from India)
3.having a masters equivalent degree.

Hey CPA Toronto,

CPA is recognized to a limited extent in Canada. Usually only in companies which have US affiliations or incorporated in US. There are many such companies though.

CGA gives more scope in the sense for Govt jobs, etc. CGA is given preference.

I completed my CPA and I have now applied to CGA for giving more credit. I am yet to hear from them.
