You need to contact your provincial CGA body to see what you are exempt from. Depending on how many accounting courses you have done -- to my knowledge you do not automatically get a CGA if you have a CPA. When I asked checked they told me we need to evaluate your transcripts...
If you are thinking for a Canadian CA - I heard you need to have worked 2 years in public accounting in the US, and then go back to Canada and do the CA reciprocity test. I had a friend who had a CPA with no US experience and went direct into the CA program (CKE, School of Accountancy & UFE) -- I don't know if that option still exists.
