Very convenient, group-based interactive and free.

I just completed another Wiseguides self study course to finish my A&A.  Not that bad of a course-- relatively cheap.  I got my certificate a few hours after deciding on the course. 

One should note that you are able to retake the final exam.  Meaning that if you fail the first time all is not lost.  Furthermore you can review your incorrect answers before retaking it.  Knowing this could take off a bit of pressure for someone like me who's scrambing to get it done last minute.  (I'm now in a bind where professional development is put on the back burner and i'm just trying to finish.)

It would have been better if i planned ahead and got my A&A through group seminars -- much easier, less headache.

If you are looking for free CPE trying being a CPE pilot. It requires little additional work and it can be free or a minimal cost depending upon the type of course you choose. CPASelfStudy is a web based provider of quality CPE. On-line, downloadable courses are totally free and book/exam courses, we ask that you simply purchase the book.

The only extra things you have to do as a pilot is 1) track your time 2) complete a short form listing the time it took you 3) provide a one page resume to show that the course is appropriate for your background. It is not much work for a lot of CPE.
