What were your scores on the MCQ HW?  Did you do the progress tests?

I never did one supplemental HW problem....if you can go through the MCQ progress tests and get in the 80-85% range on your own you should have no problem with FARE.

It is very very easy to read the posts that people make, about which review materials and or classes they took, and then to decide, ok, i'll go with their program.

I havent even received my NTS yet, and already I'm reviewing BEC and auditing - its been 6 weeks since I submitted my application/transcripts (I'm in California - sigh).  What works for me is Wiley - as its relatively inexpensive, and most book stores carry the Wiley books.

I read some comments about Roger Philips, and checked out his website, read the testimonials, and thought, This is for me!

And then I read the comments about Yaeger, and then thought, No, this is better!

Finally, i'm reading all these comments about Becker, and again, Why not spend an extra few bucks, and take Becker!

Ultimately, it is about your committment. I still keep bouncing between what program is best for me, and in the interrim, continue studying the Wiley books. 3,000 questions is alot of questions, and as we all know, that takes alot of time. How we all study can help determine if we pass the exams also. I think that making up my own flash cards is more beneficial to me than investing in preprinted cards.

Good luck to everyone.

I personally have used Bisk, Becker, and Gleim to try and pass FAR and now switched to Roger Phillips.  It all depends on what type of learning you are most adaptive to, such as do you learn best by watching lectures (live or cd), reading textbooks, or diving right in and learning hands on by way of practice mc questions and sims.  Once you know which format has worked best for you in the past (i.e. school, other exams etc...) then you will be well on your way to figuring out which material provider has the right products for you.  I used Bisk textbooks to pass BEC, REG, and AUD but it didn't work for me on FAR so I switched to Becker and Gleim but still no luck.  I am taking FAR on Wed after having reviewed Roger Phillips book for the last 3 weeks.  ...  Good luck to you on your upcoming exam(s).

Thanks, Kccpa. Is your upcoming FAR your 2nd try or 3rd try? I feel like I am the only one who has to take FAR more than 2X. I used Becker to pass AUD, BEC, and REG. But for some reason, it just didn't work for me on FAR. I am so frustrated and don't know what went wrong. Thanks for your input.

Good luck to you on FAR.

Hey cloud,

This will actually be my 5th attempt at FAR so don't feel bad at all.  I have received the following scores in order  72, 72, 74, 74.  The two 74's in a row were the most demeaning because I had the other three sections passed and because I couldn't pass FAR I ended up having to take AUD over again.  I passed it with a 92, but if I don't pass FAR this window then I have to take BEC over again.  When are you going to take FAR again?
