I think your problem may be with retention. The Becker material should be enough for anyone to pass the first time, but if you aren't retaining the informatin you're learning, no review course is going to help you pass.
I'm sure if you search the web, you'll find many techniques for retaining information, instead of just learning it. Everyone learns differently, there is a great book called "Peak Learning" that talks about the different learning styles for adults and how to focus in on your ideal learning style when studying, it may help.
As for me, I take the Live Becker classes, and although they go fast, I have an awesome instructor in Sacramento that just makes the information click. I usually attend the lecture, do the homework, and if I have trouble with the homework, I will watch the dvd lecture they hand us at the end of each live class.
I re-do the homework until I have 100%. I always leave two-weeks from the time the live class ends until I take the exam, which gives me time to do the simulated exams over and over and over. I don't do the final exams because I found they DO NOT correlate to your actual exam score, and make you feel like you are an idiot. I don't do the Becker simulations because again, I don't feel they correspond to the material on the exam, but just focus on drilling and drilling the MCQ's. I ALWAYS read the descriptions as to why I got the question right or wrong because it renforces the topic.
So far I've passed AUD and REG the first time using these techniques, I'm waiting on my BEC score, and I'm currently studying FAR for 10/11.
Again, everyone is different, you'll need to figure out what works for you, but it helps to know what works for others.
Good luck, and don't give up!
