I use the individual section prep books.
I actually bought part 2 of the 2 volume set, hoping to get more problems to work through. It turns out that the volume set is just all 4 books combined into one.
Same material is in the 2 volume set as in the 4 individual books. Part one is strictly out lines and reading material, and the part 2 is the problems, from all 4 books.
Hope that helps! |

Curious that the two-volume set list price is $119.90, and the four-volume set list price is $220.00. I do like the idea of saving $100, but this doesn't make sense. If the two-volume set is simply a rearrangement of the four-volume set this is a serious price disparity.
Here's how the Wiley website describes the two sets. Apparently the biggest difference between the two sets is the publishing date.
"Wiley’s CPA Exam Review is published twice a year in two formats for your convenience and choice: a two-volume set and a four-volume set, with all volumes also available individually. The four-volume set matches the four-test structure of the CPA exam, so you can choose only the volumes you need for your upcoming tests. Or you can pick the two-volume set, which separates study outlines, guidelines and tips into the first volume and collects practice questions and solutions in the second volume. Choose by structure or by date — the four-volume set is published each December and the two-volume set each June, so you can always be assured of up-to-date test information and questions."
