I have hear that if you pass FAR you have what it takes to do the rest, therefore if you keep up studying passing REG, BEC and AUD may be easier. However others think is better take the part that you feel more confortable with to boost your confidence. I did the opposite.

I hope I made the right choice going for FAR first. I look forward to REG or AUD in Apr-May, it will depend how prepared I feel after my  sim final exam (s) from Becker review!!

right now mcq's and sims  over and over and over and over :)  !!!

Good luck everyone!!

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me which part of the exam is the easiest and which one is the hardest.  If there is such a thing!  I want to start studying and would like to get the hardest part of the exam out of the way first.  I know some people have told me to take auditing first.  Any information would be helpful.

rwdonner,

This was a question in another forum so I'll give you the same answer I gave her... there is no "magic order". Some students like to start with FAR since it is the most information and requires the longest study time - that means that once you get it over with, everything after seems less overwhelming.

Some start with BEC for the opposite reason - since it is smallest, information-wise, and does not contain sims, it can be a confidence booster if you breeze through that section.

Keep in mind that both FAR and BEC are likely due for some significant changes with IFRS on the horizon and the CBT-e changes (which means BEC will at some point contain communications and probably simlets) so it might be a good idea to get both of those out of the way now - it is unlikely that either section will change this year (biyearly content changes excluded of course).

I believe AUD has the highest pass rate nationally (at least it did) so that may be why it was suggested to you to start with that section.

FAR is definitely the "largest" - there is no "easy" or "hard" CPA exam section as they each have difficulty and simplicity within them.

FAR if you pass it you know you can get over the next ones. Ask me I just took FAR today, first time candidate, first part, first failure first everthing.

Take FAR and study A LOT before you get to the exam center!!

Good luck!!
