VAAL412 & Arati,

Thanks a lot for your responses. This certainly helps me !

Can you please help to answer couple of more queries? I have just one section left and hopefully be done with it by December (when I would receive the results).

1.) Is it possible to get all my marksheets evaluated from FACS under Rule 2.5 beforehand?

2.) Does the evaluated documents along with the originals are posted  back to me or are posted directly to the CO Board?

3.) How much time the whole procedure generally takes starting from the evaluation to licensure?

4.) Do I need to fill out the affidavit? Actually, I am on a temporary basis here and have SSN#, however, would be moving back to India in 2-3 months.

5.) Can I give the AICPA ethics exam beforehand, that is, just after my last exam in November before receiving the congratulatory letter?

Appreciate your response.... Sorry for asking any of the questions again !

Hi

I am trying to get my certificates evaluated under this
rule.
1. I am a B.com graduate and I have completed the
intermediate parts in ICWA and CA. Does anyone know if this
would make me eligible for the certification from CO Board.
2. The phone number given in the FACS website is not
reachable. Does anyone know the currect contact number.?

I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thanks

Hi Divya,

1.) Is it possible to get all my marksheets evaluated from FACS under Rule 2.5 beforehand? - Yes, you can very well get your marksheets evaluated beforehand. There is no connection between your CPA results & evaluation as such. You just need to specify that you need the evaluation done for Licensure purposes.

2.) Does the evaluated documents along with the originals are posted  back to me or are posted directly to the CO Board? - The documents are posted back to you. There are 2 copies, one of which is for your records while the other one is sealed - this needs to be sent to CO board, unopened, along with your application.

3.) How much time the whole procedure generally takes starting from the evaluation to licensure? - It depends as to where do you stay & which FACS agency do you select. On an average should not take more than 2 months for the whole stuff.

4.) Do I need to fill out the affidavit? Actually, I am on a temporary basis here and have SSN#, however, would be moving back to India in 2-3 months.- Yes, you have to fill out the affidavit. If you are going back to India, its better that you apply as a foreign candidate, rather than as a US resident.

5.) Can I give the AICPA ethics exam beforehand, that is, just after my last exam in November before receiving the congratulatory letter? - Yes, you can register yourself online paying the required fee. They will send you a self study book & you can give the ethics exam beforehand. Passing is 90% (36 right answers out of 40)
