Journal enteries I personally think are easiest to learn by doing them, i.e finding a software which had SIMS on it. I know Becker has one I think (all though I had the 2006 edition) and also Wiley has some excellent SIMS which are challenging and make you think. I think knowing the journal entries is for sure something to not only know, but understand.  Do you currently work in the accounting field? Preparing actual journal entries was how I finally learned them.

74 on first attempt. Nice work and so close! Looks like if you just cram a little harder, you will get that extra one or two points needed. Also did you pass or score comparable on the SIMS part when you got a 74?

You don't need to read the AUs/SASs.  Feel free to look things up if you feel that you need more detail, but don't worry about reading all those dry standards.

Heres what I do, but I use Becker, I imagine it would work for wiley as well.

First I watch the dvd and make notes in the text (highlight or w/e is important) for the entire chapter.

Next I would write my own separate notes for each section at a time for that chapter, read them and then immediately do that sections mcq's; do this until u complete the chapter.

For questions I get wrong I do them again and make notes on the question and the answer and read them at my leisure.

I do this for each chapter and then every 2 or three chapters I do a small review.

If I remember correctly, 3 and 4 were the most important being 70%+ of your grade, with 5 being the least and 1 and 2 being like 10%. Someone please correct me.

I sat a few weeks ago, I purged my brain as I am starting FAR today. I know Evidence and Planning are the most important from Wiley. I studied my a$$ off on these, and I think it really paid off on the exam.. No score yet, but I feel like when I walked out I felt good, and not like I wanted to cry. LOL When do you sit?
