I am using Wiley so I read the chapter then do the MCQs.  I read all the explanations taking notes on the ones I missed.  I go through all the chapters of the book doing this.  Then I do the practice tests at the end of the book.

I then use the Gleim MCQ CD to do practice tests and study sessions for the last two weeks before the exam.  During the day at work (on my lunch break of course :) ), I use cpareviewforfree.com and work on more MCQs.

So far I have been successful with this method.

Good luck!

Test day for Regulation is 5/29.

I'm studying with Exam Matrix (which I highly recommend), so I plan to do nothing but MCQ's until I get through 100% of the questions and I'm scoring consistently in the 85-100% range on 30 random questions.

After that, I plan to review all 11 simulations at least 3 times until I feel comfortable with the type of questions that may be asked on exam day.

This strategy has worked for me so far so I plan to stick with it.  I don't hear much about Exam Matrix on these forums but I wanted to say that if going / listening to lectures or reading endless text books sounds like a complete bore (as it does to me), then I would have to recommend Exam Matrix.  It's nothing but MCQ's and Sims.

Good luck!

Here's my plan.  I am sitting on May 29th.  So that's 17 days.  My work schedule is very slow so I am hoping to study 8 - 10 hours a day.

I am using Becker.  I plan on going through each chapter and taking notes in excel and making note cards for the most important items.  Then taking the tests until the green check marks show up.  I am already through Ch 1 and Ch 2.  So I have 16 days for 5 chapters.  I am hoping it takes around 2 days to do each chapter then I will have 5 or 6 days to review all my notes and hit up the areas I have the most trouble with.

I am a 4th year SR and my bosses told me I was ready for Manager last year.  I need to pass this exam shortly because I can't take another year of being a SR.  Wish me luck!

I am using Gleim. I am planning on sitting on 7/6/09 for Reg. Currently on SU 13.

My initial plan - subject to change as I learn the ropes is to:

Take 20 question test on Gleim CD. Learn about EVERY question, even the ones I missed.

Read the book outline and answer the book questions (MCQ only).

Then go back to Gleim CD and take multiple 20 question tests using new/previously incorrect questions every time until score is 85% (my personal standard).

Then, I do the simulation in the book for that SU.

Every 3 SU's, I take a test on all previous material studied so far to keep it fresh.

Once done with all SUs, my plan is to take multiple tests of 20 questions until consistently scoring about 85%

Then go take the test.

There is likely room for improvement here.

Planning on taking REG in July, man it is hard to concentrate not knowing BEC score.  Trying to study and not think about it!
