Everything that I have checked online sounds like I have to have public accounting experience and be supervised by a CPA. Is this the way it is. Can anyone help me out with this.

I went here: http://www.cpazone.org/exam/requirements/index.asp

Sounds like you either have to work in public accounting doing a specified number of hours in attestation or work in government as an auditor under a current CPA.

Hi so if I work for the state government and I don't work with anything that has to do with auditing or public accting can I get my necessary experience to get my CPA license if I am currently supervised by a CPA? If someone could let me know.
