I am scheduled to take Reg July 17th.  It will be my first section that I take, so I am studying hard and hoping for the best.

What topics are known to be heavily tested in REG? I'm not asking for specifics ( I know I'll get in trouble in this forum!) but like for FAR, it's Governmental and Not-for-profit. How about in REG? Thanks for your help!

Per Becker, the exam is about 2/3rds tax and 1/3rd law.  This was accurate from my exam experience.  Best of luck studying!!

Hey everybody, I just wanted to get some opinions on something.

I took BEC at the end of April and then I went right in to studying Audit.  However, as I was studying I didn't really feel like any of the material was sticking and I was doing horrible on the MCQs.  And even when I was doing well on certain MC sections I didn't feel like I really knew the answer, and that I was only getting them right because it was common sense.  This was getting me vary discouraged so I thought that maybe I should stop Audit and switch over to REG.  I did well in my tax classes in school and I heard that studying for REG was a lot like studying for BEC.  Is this true?  Also, what do you guys think about switching after spending 3 weeks on Audit?

I would appreciate anyones thoughts on this.

Also, I don't know if this matters but I am using the Becker 2009 study materials.

Thank you.

I would like to schedule my REG exam in July but would like to be able to take it so my score will come in the first wave of score releases in August. What would you say is the safe cut-off date in July/August in order to get the score release in first wave?
