I agree with you both.

I am attempting to move on to BEC, but I'm still so mad about this test.  I was the same way as you, left AUD feeling really well, felt OK about FAR (was surprised with my score), but the more I think about questions I know after the fact I got wrong on REG I'm still pretty sure I failed.  I guess we have to hope our best is in the top 50%, and hope that most people are in the same boat as us.  The waiting game certainly takes a toll on you though.

OMG...I just sat for the REG exam today.  The exam was brutal!! I am not sure how I did.  The MC were ok but very tricky.  I came across some questions where two of the choices were right.  For some, I really didn't know what to pick.  And the simulations, don't get me started.  I just pray that I at least got a 75.

Good deal! Good luck!

I did a 22 hr cram last weekend. Now, I have been working hard on MCQ like 200 plus on average all this week. I have completed every freaking problem in Wiley. I will have invested an easy 120-130 hrs on the Reg exam.

I am praying for a win this Quarter!

Regulation is a hard one but once passed it will be a source of pride to carry with me until I am through this whole process.

Audit and BEC have given me the strength to endure and know that I am capable of passing all sections of the CPA. Do not give up keep studying and trying new things and repeat methods that prove successful.

I took REG today.  I was 3 for 3 going into it and listened to the Becker videos 2 and a half times and worked 1,300 questions prior to going in.  I felt like the first testlet was easy, second was very hard, and third was a mixed bag.  The sims were ok.... but if I were to guess I failed REG.  The worst is the mental break in between finding out the results.  I'd rather know now if I need to keep studying...

Just to share my experience...  I took REG for the 2nd time last Saturday.  Going into the exam, I was feeling confident that I was MUCH more prepared for it than the 1st time I took it (when I got a 72).

1st testlet - Of course, it's medium difficulty to start you off.  I think it was okay.  I still ended up marking about 9 questions.

2nd & 3rd testlets - Both were definitely harder than the 1st one, so I was happy to know that I was doing alright on the MC.  Marked a BUNCH of questions on each of them...  Hopefully that doesn't mean they're all wrong!  I spotted a couple questions that were totally out of the blue (and not covered in Becker), so I'm guessing some of those may have been pretest* questions.

I spent more time than I had intended on the MC questions (it's so hard to move on!), so I went into the 1st simulation with only a little more than an hour left (I would recommend at LEAST 40 minutes per simulation).

1st simulation - Surprisingly, it was very similar to one of Becker's practice simulations, so I felt pretty good about that one.  Communication tab was ok.  Research question was really tricky (the question itself - it wasn't straightforward... never had a tricky question like that before), and I don't think I got it.

2nd simulation was not bad overall, but one of the tabs left me totally confused, and I ran out of time on it (a couple blanks  T.T).  Luckily I had written SOMETHING in the communication tab, but I don't think I nailed it.  Answer to the research question was fairly easy to locate.

Honestly, I have no idea whether or not I passed.  Simulations and written communication have consistently been my weaknesses.  BEC is the only one I passed on the 1st try, and I don't think it was a coincidence that it doesn't contain any simulations.

I hope my experience has been helpful, at least to some of you.  Good luck to everyone taking CPA exams!

*For those of you who didn't already know this, each of REG's 3 MC testlets contain 4 pretest questions (a total of 12 altogether).

According to cpa-exam.org, "Responses to pretest questions are never taken into account in calculating candidate scores. Pretest questions are included in every examination (they may be multiple-choice questions, portions of simulations, or written communication exercises) only for the purpose of collecting data. The data are needed to assess the quality of the questions, and to collect scoring information for later use when the questions become operational items."
