Shh...it's a secret method that Becker tells its students. That's why the Becker classes cost so much.

You should add to your resume: A solid sense of humor!

On a more serious note, are you trying to say that some persons do not tell the whole truth? That's how I'd interpret your humorous remarks, :-).

explained in many of his posts that he did written communications on
both simulations, and did it well. It would be nice that he would
change the signature not to excite false hopes in others.Sorry to put
your hopes down, but I'm interested in your score. I don't think I
passed FAR but would like to have some hope for the couple days until
I get my actual score

70 + 10 = 85 = false hope?

You will do better than you expect on all exams except for bec (if you
were prepared)   don't worry

Did you do the research tabs? You seriously left the simulations blank? Didn't even fill them in randomly?

Passfirsttime, please, please, answer the last question :-). I think there are many interested in finding the answer to that question. So, is it true that you nailed MCQs (100%*70 = 70p), WC (100%*10=10p) and those 5 extra-points were just a 'curving' thing. Do you say that you left EVERY tab in those two sims absolutely empthy???

I have taken the Becker simulation and noticed that some cells do not have an answer. In other words, 0 could be inputed or it could be left blank in order to get credit.

I could be wrong, but I think it is possible to pass by getting 100% of the MC correct and getting the WC right, if there are enough cells on the simulations that do not require a number value.

Here's an update my fellow CPA-takers.

I got my score last night and I did pass AUD (for those of you who have not been following this post, I left one of the 2 written communications blank but did everything else, to my best guess, in the simulations)! My theory is they grade only one of the 2 simulations like someone said before and I was lucky enough that they picked the one with the completed written communication..

Don't believe it's possible to pass doing only the MCQs though.

One down, three more to go!!!

You need to go back and do the whole exam then. Stop doing a half-butted job. I don't care if you did pass it already. You need to finish what you started.

Oh CharliePapaAlfa, I love you for making me laugh with this line:

I needed a laugh since I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to hear about FAR!  (I'm in Delaware.)

Good luck to all!  This forum helps me cope.  :)
