I sent my application to the Board on the beginning of November. Anybody has an idea how long it takes for them to process the application?

Hey Roshini, congratulations on finishing the CPA exam!  Isn't it a great feeling?  I know you've worked very hard for this.  Now go relax and have a wonderful holiday.  Happy Holidays to you and your family!

As for the job search, unfortunately the market is really bad these days, especially if you don't have directly relevant (i.e., public accounting experience in the US if you're looking for a job in public accounting).  But, it is not hopeless, and you just have to keep trying.  In fact, my company recently hired a few new staff people in NYC, and it also bought out another CPA firm in NJ.  The NY-NJ-CT tri-state area's job market is not as bad as it is in many other parts of the country, although not good by any means.

Hey Roshini,

that's great that you have passed all your exams. I would suggest that you contact Recruiters. I found my job through recruiters.

I have used Robert Half International and Huber Finanace both are very good companies, have strong links to fortune 500 companies. Last time, I found a job within a month.

Hope this helps. If you want numbers and person name whom I have deal with, please PM me. I will give you the information.

Good luck. Do you live in North Jersey? If yes, than you can try my company as well.
