This particular school represented itself as a pioneer in applied business research. Companies in the Twin Cities alledgedly provided them with project work that one would work on in various capacities. For instance, a marketing class now, I was told we'd be doing a real project with a real budget for a real company. Due to p!ss poor excuses by professors, deans and faculty, it's hypothetical now.
I expected to learn a bit. But I'm aghast at how shallow the learning is.
I network constantly. Just tonight I shook hands and spoke with David Brooks from the NYT and WSJ. I am pushing more than 300 good contacts on linkedin. I have close to 200 crappy contacts (classmates, etc.).
Networking is not a problem for me. Now if only I had a job.
