I got a 74...

I dont understand. I don't know how i got the score. i
was positive that I made less than 21(69/90=76.67%)
mistakes in the exam. My problem is that I'm going to
have to retake the exam, I'm pretty confident that I'll
pass it next time. It's just the time and money wasted on
this darn exam that is killing my moral. I'm also
unemployed, just to make it worse. My budget for the
exams is quickly dwindling and I can't find a job if it's
to save my life. Its not just this, however.

My family always asks me how I'm doing on the exams, and
I believe no one(but the cpa examinees) really understand
the amount of energy it takes to even finish one section.
All they want is results, which I don't blame them, but I
wish I actually had a person to kind of...share my burden
with.

Sorry, just my little rant. I was just staring at my exam
score and I just didnt know what to think, what to say,
what to do...Just wanted to share with you guys since
maybe some can relate to me or something.

@iampei- I'm new to the forum and have just started my CPA journey..Gonna give all 4 exams in 2011.

The reason why I'm posting is that I personally know a couple of people who scored a 74, tried again and eventually passed ....First of all let me tell you that the questions on the exam are not evenly weighed..So your calculation of 76.67% would be incorrect...

Secondly, forget about family expectations for a moment.. You know that you have tried your level best, but unfortunately you were so close this time...Just hang in there, a little more effort next time and as you yourself said that you are pretty sure of passing next time... There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

And for now, take a break- go out, play games, watch movies, dine out, ENJOY!!!!!!!! Get your lost moral back and attack the books again..Good Luck!!
