I will take the REG Exam and I have a big doubt about Liquidating Distributions. I understand that when a Shareholder receive money in amount over the basis, the Shareholder will recognize GAIN. Now, if the Shareholder receive just a property (Land) with FMV above the basis of the Shareholder, Did I have to recognize a GAIN?
