Just had a question regarding the audit practice for
those in the B4, particularly large cities. I know it
varies from region to region, but has anyone been able to
get by without owning a car as an audit associate? We
were told at the interviews that you had to "have access
to a car," which obviously means you could forseeably
rent or get a zip car or something, which isn't ideal. I
would like to avoid owning a car right now, especially
with having to deal with expensive parking anywhere in
the city as another expense. If possible, I know you can
request to have little to no travel or to only have air
travel but I was just curious if anyone has had any luck
with something like this, knows about it at all, or had
an issue with it. Thanks.

Aren't parking expenses for clients covered by the firm?

I was in consulting, but my first few years with PwC I didn't have a car - I
lived in NY, no one did!
If I needed a car, I called for car service or rented a car on the firm.
