There are no failures in this CPA game.  There are only people who quit.  Do not be one of them.  No one will care how many times you take these exams.  All they will care about is if you are a CPA.

The purpose of the CPA exams is to keep you and me from becoming CPAs.  That is a fact of life.  Those 3 initials, CPA, do not come cheaply.

Take an exam and do not look back.  Start studying for the next exam.  That is my plan.

Jerry,

Wonderful advice - it's really encouraging to see a candidate so determined to pass. That's exactly the kind of attitude one needs to get through the process, and you are exactly right - if it were easy, everyone would run out and become a CPA. There is certainly a reason why it is so difficult to get through.

Keep up the great work!

AICPA: Perhaps the real issue here is the test-taking strategy. A better approach might be to take two sections in the first window, two in the next, and use the remaining four windows to retake any sections failed on the first attempt.

I am sure that I am in the minority, but I totally agree with them.  Until yesterday I thought that I only had 12 months to pass all four parts, and that was totally doable for me.  And I work about 50+ hours a week and have a family.

Two years to pass four parts???  That requires only passing one part every six months!

They have to have at least some stringent requirements, or else many more people would become CPAs and we wouldn't be as valuable.

Tejal,

I am not 100% positive on this, but it is my understanding that the credit would expire, not the NTS.  You might check the NASBA site.
