I am a CA(fresh grad) from India and HAve done BCom
(hons) also.I stay in India only.I am planning to sit for
CPA exam and have a deire to work in USA after getting
the license.I have few questions:
a)Which is the best stste for an Indian Qualified CA?
b)Which Credential Evaluation agency is good?
c)After passing the exam how to fulfil work
experience(under active CPA)requirement?
d)Will I be eligible to work after CPA certificate only
not license or I have to do some sort of intership in
USA?
e)How will I get work permit/Visa for supervised work
experience to work as a CPA in USa?
f)IF paid,how much are we usually paid during this
supervised work period?
g)What do you think keeping in mind my education,Will i
be short of credits?
I stay in India and will travel to give exam so I will be
needing visa to work under
an active CPA.Please guide.I am confused .
I would really appreciate if someone could answer my all
questions.Thanks in advance

Hi there, although I am still in my early stages of CPA, but I know that for an India CA the best state to go for would be California. But soon when the Indian accounting standards comes completely in sync with the International Accounting Standard, there won’t be any problem in applying for any state in US. By the way I am curious to know what is the difference between ICAI and ICWAI?
