I am going to submit the TX application but I feel not sure which category that my experience with a private company would best fit in. I happened to find a topic by another user with a very similar situation but unfortunately the op didn't update with the final result and now the topic is closed, so I am copying that post down here and hoping any of you would be able to provide your advice. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I just recently passed all 4 parts of the CPA exam and i'm trying to get certified in TX. I live in Houston and have over 5 yrs of accounting experience. I'm trying to get everything together for my manager to sign off on the work experience, but I was reading the form and don't know if I qualify or not. My official title with the company I currently work at, which would be qualified as "industry" as employer category, is International accountant. I have never worked in a public firm and based on the work experience form my manager has to fill out, I'm not sure I qualify, this form pretty much asks you to have audit experience!!!
For the most part I have done G/L accounting (preparing monthly and correcting entries), prepared monthly schedules for management, and quarterly schedules for auditors, and have assisted in analysis of variances on a monthly basis to name a few.
Can any of you tell me under what category my work experience will qualify? The only thing they have here is attest services, and professional acct services wich include: issuing reports on financials, providing management or consulting services, preparing tax returns, providing advice in tax matter, forensic accounting and internal audit. THESE ARE ALL PUBLIC ACCOUNTING CATEGORIES, i'm not an auditor!!! where are the choices for industry accounting?
