Hi,

So a couple of quick questions:

1. Is it true that, aside from a few elite programs, most recruiting from MAccs are regional? If so, what are the elite programs whose graduates can work anywhere?

2. After doing a bit of research, I think that I want to work in the south/south east. In particular, I'd probably want to be in one of Texas' big cities (i.e. Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio) or Atlanta. So I was wondering if you all know of programs that place well in those cities and or have a good reputation in the south in general?

thanks

The #1 Macc program in the country is UT Austin.  I don't know Texas geography, so you have to decide if it is close enough to where you want to work.

And if you don't want Austin, then you can try Rice, Southern Methodist, and UT Dallas.  I don't know if they have Macc programs, but they are the best schools in Texas after UT Austin.  I don't know what their MAcc programs are ranked at, so I am going by their MBA rankings per US News.

I think Texas A&M is on there as well, around #8.
