you don't need experience to be certified but you need it to be licensed.

confused on what the difference is your either licensed or your not some states have some weird things going on with them

Some states make a distinction between being certified and being licensed (certified-you've passed the exam but don't have the work experience). A few states let you get licensed with no work experience, but most do not.

Where do you live in Chicago? I live in Evanston.
For me, I am going to get my CPA first then either MBA (Top 30 school only) or Master in Taxation. I am sorry to say this, but once you have a CPA, MACC is basically useless unless you want to be a teacher one day.
