Get your MACC, not because it's of any use but because Big 4 recruits heavily from schools. It's really difficult to get your foot in the door after you've out of school, unless you have some connections.

It's also difficult to get into the Big 4 unless you start out as an intern for them.  Accordng to data I found, 70-90% of new hires at the Big 4 were originally interns.  So please do not assume that getting a Macc is a ticket to the Big 4.

So for someone who already has a BS in accounting, is an MBA better or is a MAcc?

But is there even any recruiting going on at campuses rigt now during this economy?  Aren't there 6 + applicants for each availbale position?
