This FT vs PT is crap. Employers don't care about that nonsense. Far more important is going to a top tiered school, networking and on-campus recruiting (although to be fair one's ability to take advantage of the latter two will naturally be limited by a PT status).

As everyone always says, go to the best school you can get into. If the only way to go to a top school is through the PT program, then go for it. At NYU, the FT acceptance rate is about 12%. In contrast, the PT acceptance rate is 50%.

Donald, what is the average gmat for the part time NYU program? What is the full time gmat average score? are they much different?

Nobody does an MBA for the education anyway. It's mostly a bunch of group project mumbo jumbo. Most areas of business are not a discipline with actual content in the same way that accounting and finance are structured. People do MBA's for the networking and recruiting. If you work 40+ hours a week, you're not going to have much opportunity to network with your classmates.
