CFA - nowhere. I started last year, covered 2 of the textbooks and put that aside (that's 300 USD down the drain). I could not afford to pay for the exam and the registration fee at that time. This year I am trying to make my company pay for it (not likely to happen). I will probably give it a go in December anyway. Level 1 should not be that bad as Financial Accounting is a big chunk of it.

GMATPrep software on the mba.com website is awesome and it's fee. I did 4-5 full-length practice exams and scored in the 720-770 range. GMATPrep is a pretty good indicator on where you stand.

For the record, took it today and scored a 580.  Not surprised, took 2 CATs during my prep and scored 580 exactly on each of those.  I'm impressed at how this exam has me pegged at this score.  Not great, but I'm hoping it's enough to get me into my MSF program.

Agreed.  Kinda crazy how accurately the GMATPrep CAT can predict your actual GMAT score.

After studying 3 weeks and finishing Kaplan, I got a 590 on the GMATPrep and 2 days later the same thing on the actual GMAT.
