Looking for study suggestions regarding the CIA exam?

I would definitely suggest to read the book and take
notes. I found part 1 to be have the most conceptual and
definition type questions of the three parts I took
(exempt from part 4). I found that it really helped to
read through the standards over and over in the book and
take notes. I did many, many, practice questions while
studying but my foundation came from learning the Gleim
material from the book first. I took the exam while I
was still in school though, so was starting from scratch
as I had no professional internal audit experience to
draw from. I used the Gleim book and Test prep cd.

Just came back from passing the exam 2 hours ago.

Its important to get a solid foundation down. Theres quite a few situational questions.

I just failed Part I yesterday and Part II today. OMG! I knew I wasn't
prepared for Part II, because I didn't even review the Sampling section
of the Gliem book.

I thought I did well on Part I. But I guess I found some questions tricky.
I was always left with 2 choices. Anyway, I'm going to try again. But def
going to drink my sorrows tonight.
