arch.php?geoloc=4 for accounting and auditing courses to
meet additional educational requirements.

I checked the websites of the universities mentioned in above posts..

The information online says that there is a prerequisite course(in finance or
accounting) to be completed before enrolling for the auditing course..

Has anyone actually completed just a course in auditing for meeting the CO
board requirements .. without doing any other prerequisite courses as stated
on the individual university websites.. ? Can u please state the name of the
exact course completed ?

Hello Sparrow,

Thanks a lot for clarifying my doubts. I read the colorado rules and now I am quite confident that I can apply for license even after 5 years from passing the exams.

I think, I might have got the wrong impression about the 5 years period from the work experience requirement which says that experience should be gained 5 years preceding the application date. My friends also told me that license should be applied within 5 years from passing the cpa exam or else you have to give the exams again.

Anyways , I have wrote an email to the colorado board also in the meantime to clarify this and will keep you posted about it.

I am also exploring the options of education in lieu of experince.

Thanks a ton,

Shweta

Hi Shweta,

Did you get reply from Colorado Board relating to this
matter?

Thanks

Hi Sparrow,

I got the reply from Nasba as follows:

"Good morning,

Yes, your exam credits do not expire after 5 years.

The experience must be met no more than 5 years preceding the date of your application for licensure.  If you apply today, the experience must be completed sometime within the previous 5 years.

Thank You,

I did not hear back from Colorado yet, I will try to reach them again...

Thanks,

Shweta
