Hi Damcy,
My advice would be to wait for their reply. Try to
convince them based on your course becoz each case is
handled differently.

Hi,
I have cleared my CPA Exam and willing to apply for
Colorado CPA License. However, when I was filing my
online application, there is one form "Affidavit of
Eligibility" where I faced problem under Section A:
Lawful Presence in United States. I am confused between
checking point no. 2 & 3.
Point No. 2 states that
2. I am not a U.S. citizen, but I am lawfully present in
the U.S. and authorized by the Department of Homeland
Security to be employed in the U.S. Check one of the
acceptable secure and verifiable documents in Section B
that applies and fully complete the information
requested. Complete documentation must be provided upon
request.
3. I am not physically present in the U.S. under 8 U.S.C.
sec. 1621 (c)(2)(c) or employed in the U.S. pursuant to 8
U.S.C. sec. 1621 (c)(2)(a). Check one option, a or b
below, then skip to Section C. (Do not complete Section
B.)
a.
I am a U.S. citizen, not physically present or employed
in the United States.
b.
I am a Foreign National, not physically present or
employed in the United States.
I am in US on H4 visa but I have SSN No. I am not legally
authorized to work being on H4. I don't know whether to
check Point No. 2 or 3.
I contacted Nasba people and they said that since I am
not authorized to work, I cannot apply for the license
until I am authorized to work.
Please guide what should I do. I already completed every
other formality including 150 hr requirement, Ethics
course.

Hi Darudadu,
I am a CA + Bcom and applied to CO for cpa license. I have
also received an email requesting confirmation that US GAAS
was covered in my education.
Can you let me know to whom in the CA institute you
requested the confirmation and what did u ask them? I too
will be needing to go the same route, so any help in this
regard will be great!
Thanks.
