I took BEC on 4/16 and passed, which was my second attempt. I learned for BEC you must pay attention to the details and practice the writing. Learn to write an essay on anything, your argument does not have to be correct, it just needs to be well stated.
-Don't overlook project management fundamentals. Things like, the role of a project manager and a project sponsor.
-Don't overlook ERM and COSO. The role of risk officer vs. CFO. The role of board of directors. Know what creates a conflict of interest
-Bonds & interest rates
-Global economy, what helps or hurts foreign producers
-Variable Costing vs. Absorption
-Ratio Analysis (working capital, ROI, ROA)
-COST ACCOUNTING VARIANCES (overhead, labor, rate, et)
There's a lot of small areas that can be easily overlooked but if heavily tested will hurt your score if you don't know them.
