Hi,

Does anyone know if the following would qualify for the 1 yr experience rule in Florida?

a) I report to a non-CPA, but his boss (who is the director of my department) is a CPA and he 'directs' and oversees our work.

b) I work on budgeting, capital planning, M&A analysis, for a large hospital (Industry).

I have read the rule an tried calling, but I get am confused with the verbiage of the rule, and I get a different answer every time I call the regulation center.

Thanks!

I think you are fine...

As long as the director is willing to sign off, you should
be fine.

dadud3r - Thanks for the reply. Do you have experience with the FL process?

Thanks!

I have experience with it... like he said, as long as the
CPA signs it, you're fine. I wouldn't bother calling,
everyone there that I've spoken with seems to have a mild
case of retardation.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, every time that I call that center I get a different answer, and they will never give a contact to the board itself. It's quite frustrating actually that you can't speak to a representative of the actual decision makers, but you have to get advice from a separate agency that's not trained in the subject matter.

Any other comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
