If you already have 150 credits or obtained them prior to applying from NH board then you can get your credits transfered to other states. If not, then you have to live with NH for life:( I hope Iam not wrong and this was mentioned in one of threads here as well ( cant remember which one and myself searched on either CO/IL, it meant the same)

I wish I had knew this before and applied from DE instead as US tax was the only course that I had to take...I regret but I have decided to go into public accounting....I know its hard and challenging to change your mind but just take a look at the whole situation....You have worked soo hard to pass THIS EXAM and its fair enough to do justice with your career...Passing your exam without having a license, I have no idea what would it mean...

Im stuck with NH...Have only 120 credits..what would I do...move into public accounting...thats the only option I have..

Can anyone please help if they know if this can be worked out.

Thank you Futurecpa,

When I applied for Cpa I had no idea whether I will be in the US for more than a year.I am aforiegn national on dependant visa,so there was nothing I could possibly do in this country other than studies.Co board accepts evaluations done only by FACS & the min. time they would take was 3 months. So I opted for NH.

I remember having read somewhere that for CO board you need not satisfy 150 hours before applying for cpa.For IL board what you said is right. My evaluation done from Josef Silny says that I have 150 credit hours.JUst check for CO.

Hello, near future CPA

Sounds like we are in the same boat but at least you have decided to go for "public".  I got 140+ credits, chose NH in a rush since I got limt time in the States, not able to finish the research for all.  Then came to the embarrassing itme, even no certificate since NH is on one tier.
