Hi,

A)  I am planning to take BEC towards end of August. I was curious to get some input on should i focus more on theory or Calculations.

 B) I am using Becker and Yaeger and still confused about Financial Management chapter and also Process Costing. Do you guys know of any good material i could even read to get a grasp of these topics?

BEC is starting to be much harder than i thought.

I used Wiley text and Becker. I feel that Wiley was a good supplement
to Becker. I feel that Wiley explained the topics in a clear and concise
manner. Becker's text on the other and had typos, poorly worded
phrases and at times poor organization. Don't get me wrong; Becker
was invaluable especially for the passmaster questions, video lectures
and support (they have a great support website). It's just that their
textbook left something to be desired. Wiley on the otherhand has a
great text, especially if you're familiar with the material. It does a good
job of explaining things -- you just have to read it slowly and carefully.
Hope this info helps.

I am not sure if you have already taken the exam yet? but if you did, would you say that i should focus more on calculations? i know every exam is different, but just trying to get a feel for things.

Becker passmaster questions were a life saver for me for my FAR and AUD exams. For BEC, they are great as well, but...so much calculations. it's driving me nuts. i always mess up somewhere but when i look at the answer, i feel like smacking my self for missing something simple

I took the exam last Saturday. There were both calculations and
theory. Just keep plugging away. The test was a lot easier than the
Becker passmaster. I'm pretty sure I passed.
