Mine is 04-21.

I am doing reviews, MC's as much as I can but I just don't feel ready and feel really overwhelmed.

Should I just keep doing MC's until my test date?

I'm taking BEC on April 23rd. It's the first part for me. I hear it is the easiest but also the most unpredictable. I hope it goes well and builds my confidence.

I used Yaeger Home Study 2011. I watched all the lectures w/ Cindy. I read the Wiley book, have done most of the MCQ, took notes, and made note cards. I really wish I came to CPAnet earlier or joined my state CPA society, awesome discounts were available through both, could have saved about $500 with my state society. Oh well, sunk cost.

I'm currently reviewing with the Wiley practice tests and cpaexamforfree.com practice tests. Any recommendations for additional final review? I have allocated 30 hours of final review between now and the test date. I'm a bit scared of the breadth of this particular exam but I believe I can pass with enough practice.

With all your preparation, you're definitely on your way to doing well on BEC.  But don't be fooled by people saying that BEC is the easiest.  There are some tricky questions and most people that pass either do really well or barely pass (in my case).  Like you said it is very unpredictable as there were many questions in the first testlet that I had to just guess.  I struggled with the IT section b/c the questions were very subjective.

Anyway, good luck to you.  You definitely should do well.

I took BEC in the new 2011 format yesterday.  I am new to the exam and this was my first attempt in any of the sections, but it was much harder than I expected. I was preparing using Becker textbooks and MCQ software. I was scoring around 85-90 on practice tests at the end of my review. However, I felt that a lot of material, which was covered on the exam, was not covered in my textbook/homework.  The wording of the questions felt foreign to me and the weight of tested material was different from what Becker told me to concentrate on. In addition, I had 1 written communication question, which related to a completely different section of the CPA exam, for which I haven’t studied yet. So I had to come up with an answer just to write something, but I am pretty sure my response was wrong.   I was wondering if anybody else felt the same or had experience close to mine? My only hope that they will curve it if most of us didn’t do well.
