I just took BEC and I hope your experience is better than mine...I used Becker 2011 and did all lectures, read carefully twice and did all MCQ twice. I felt really prepared and was smacked in the face come exam day. The only suggestion I can say is do NOT underestimate this section...too many people do and end up failing. I felt so prepared and yet I don't think there is any way I passed :(
@jiejenn: Your timeline is quite ambitious and I wish you the best of luck!
Study tips:
1. Do all MCQ more than once and the second time around take good notes when you miss one -> write down the correct answer as well as the other clues that are given about the incorrect answers. I also made a formula sheet from the book and homework and was able to learn what formulas I knew well and what ones I needed to have fresh in my mind on exam day.
2. Practice some of the WC Becker gives...do this mostly for practicing the organization and time management needed. Becker suggests 15 minutes per WC and I think that is not only realistic, but ideal. If you spend too long on them, you are not accomplishing what is requested...the WC should be the easy part...
3. On exam day, be sure the formulas you struggle with are fresh in your mind. I made a handwritten one page sheet of formulas I studied right before going into the center and that seemed to help me recall them during the exam. I also always wrote down the formula before I started calculating anything...That way, I tried to avoid mathematical errors...
Good luck to anyone facing BEC anytime soon...I hope luck is more on your side than it was mine...
